About Me

Meet your Chef

Hi, I'm Eunseo

Hi there! I’m Eunseo, the mom behind AppleGooma. Honestly? I never really cared about cooking. My idea of a good meal used to be plain tofu, some cabbage, or a bowl of Greek yogurt — simple, boring, done. Cooking just wasn’t my thing.

Then my first baby came along… and she turned out to love food. Like, really love it.

— First Steps

How I started cooking

We started baby-led weaning around 6 months, and pretty quickly my daughter was asking for three full meals a day. If she got hungry, she let me know — loudly. She loved eating so much that I didn’t really have a choice but to start cooking for real.

Things were going great until she hit 14 months. Out of nowhere, she stopped eating the vegetables and meats she used to devour. Any mom who’s been through this knows the panic. That’s when Green Juice became my little kitchen hero — I blend kale, spinach, avocado, apple, and whatever else I have on hand, and sneak it into juice, pancakes, ice cream, you name it. Sometimes she even helps me make it now. She’s 3 now, and her picky eating has gotten so much better — she’ll actually ask, “Can we make green juice ice cream?” on her own. That moment made all the trial and error worth it.

People around me kept asking for my green juice recipe, and that’s really how AppleGooma started.

— My motto

My Philosopy

I’m not chasing perfect meals or Pinterest-worthy plates. My motto is simple: healthy doesn’t have to mean complicated, and cooking for kids doesn’t have to be stressful.

With little ones running around, I don’t have hours to spend in the kitchen — and I bet you don’t either. So I focus on real food that’s good for our kids, made in ways that actually fit into busy mom life. No guilt, no pressure to be perfect. Just “let’s figure this out together.”

What's Cooking

What you'll find here

On AppleGooma, I share the recipes that actually work in my house — the ones my kids ask for again and again. You’ll find:

  • Easy, freezer-friendly meals — I batch-cook pasta sauces, soups, and more, then freeze them in portions for busy days
  • Sneaky-healthy recipes — like my Green Juice and all the ways I use it in baking and snacks
  • Kid-approved Korean dishes ideas — simple enough for weeknights, tasty enough that picky eaters come around
  • Real talk about picky eating — what’s actually worked (and what hasn’t) as my kids have grown

I’m not a chef, and I’m not going to pretend I have it all figured out. I’m just a mom sharing what’s worked for us — so come cook with me, one simple recipe at a time.
